I think your house should reflect your personality. Once upon a time we bought a house that looked like this: Freshly painted dark colors, sand texture in the dining room….I have little kids, flat sand texture does not go with little kids.

As soon as possible, I set about inflicting my personality on the house. These are pictures I took as we were moving out. It was a sad day, after all that work and not being able to enjoy if for long :o( The rest of the moral of the story is, don’t go look up your house listing to find before pictures, because it’s sold again and the new owner had painted over everything…..yes everything. I realize that my cupboards were “a bit out of the norm” and not everyone shares my personality, but it was still sad to see them painted over.
