My Shop in Legos

Wes started making LEGO versions of my tools last week. I thought they were pretty great! So today I had him set up the rest of the shop in for our enjoyment :0)

Here I am in the shop :0)

The yellow planer was one of the first machines he came to show me. It looks a lot like the little DeWalt I have :0)

The table saw is almost just like my Table Saw Station although if given the choice, I’d rather have a fence :0).

Table saw.

You can’t have a shop without work benches! Wes made we a couple to choose from, this one even has hold fast holes!

Other work bench ;0) notice I’m wearing safety glasses.

I couldn’t stop laughing as I took these pictures. The proportions make it impossible to perform some operations safely…..especially the miter saw. It looks like an especially aggressive radial arm saw :0/. But I love how Wes used his imagination to make it anyway! Good thing there is no OSHA in LEGO world. But then again, if your arm comes off, you just snap it back on :0)

No way to reach safely. Yikes! Huge spinning blade!!!

Where’s the stool? I think this was supposed to be a bench top band saw….

Band saw. Where’s my stool?

And no shop would be complete without a sewing machine! Never mind that you need to sit on the floor to use it.

Now to the metal working corner. Wes at his anvil.

The grinder…another slight proportion problem :0) no matter this thing also shoots 3 foot flames at your feet…I mean modest sparks as you grind the metal….

Grinder and sparks.

Out in the shop I have a little blue tooth speaker, I guess that was too small for Wes. He built himself a “real” speaker. Right next to the torch tanks, also fictional, and welder that is real, but lives in the garage.

Welder, torch and huge speaker for blaring tunes!

I hope you enjoyed Wesley’s version of the shop! I can’t keep up with this kid’s ideas! He’s always thinking up something.
